Life Cycle
The life cycle of a dragonfly is a pretty simple life cycle. In the first step of a dragonflies life cycle is the girl dragonfly laying its eggs. Then after they hatch they slowly start to grow and have become a thorax. After that will grow wings. Soon they will be up to the stage where they are nymph and there skin gets molded. Finally they will reach the stage where they are a metamorphosis and turn into an adult dragonfly, when they do they are ready to mate, hunt and live their own life.
Every single dragonfly is different and has a different life span. Dragonflies often stay near shallow water. Dragonflies have gills and can breathe in water as well as land. Adult dragonflies often stay near water unless they need to go hunting or find a new place to have shelter. Dragonflies like to be near freshwater because there are more predators in saltwater than freshwater.
